Leslie ( Les) Peterson, a Retired Letter Carrier of NALC Branch 1484, Puyallup, Washington was awarded his 60th year certificate and label

pin during a brief ceremony on April 24, 2008. This pin and certificate represents that Les has been a member of the National Association
of Letter Carriers (NALC) Branch1484, Puyallup, Washington for 60 years. Les retired from active service with the U.S. Postal Service in 1974.

This award was presented to Les by John Jackson, the Director of Retired Letter Carriers, NALC Branch 1484. John read the award letter from NALC President William Young and presented the lapel pin. Fifteen retired coworkers and their spouses were in attendance to share this great event

with Les. Refreshments and remembrances with old friends followed the short ceremony. Our congratulations and admiration to Les for setting the example that we all strive for. His dedication to the NALC and its members sets a standard matched by few. Job well done. A special thanks to the
staff of Merrill Gardens retirement home where Les lives for providing the providing the room and coffee.
